Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, who is known for his simple living, today urged his ministers to spend time at orphanages and other government-run institutes like schools during their surprise visits and take launch at state-run centres such as Aaahar kendras.
By doing so, the ministers will be able to access the quality of foods being served to the people and other problems of these centres. It will also bring improvement in the smooth functioning of these centres, the Chief Minister noted.
Naveen also asked the ministers to keep their tour programme confidential as much as possible and further insisted them not to take more than four people with them during the tour.
The ministers have also been directed to mention about these steps elaborately in their monthly tour programme and give suggestions to bring improvement in the administration, sources said.
