Puri: All need to respect the Supreme Court order on the Rath Yatra, said Gajapati Maharaja Dibyasingha Deb on Thursday while reacting to the Apex Court’s order not to hold the festival this year.
“Amid Covid-19 situation, it is not possible to organise Rath Yatra”, he said.
The Supreme Court order might hurt the sentiments of the crores of devotees, but we should abide by order, he further added.
What rituals will be followed for Rath Yatra within the temple premises, it will be discussed with the Puri Sankaracharya.
The Supreme Court order will also be discussed during the management committee of the SJTA, Gajapati said.
