Odisha ranks first among the States with the lowest unemployment rate in the country, as per the latest report of economic think-tank Centre for Monitoring Indian Economy Pvt. Ltd (CMIE).
Odisha tops the country with an unemployment rate of 1.0 per cent as of February 2022 as policy decisions and better management of the State Government helped create various employment opportunities for the youth, as per the report. The national unemployment rate stands 7.4 per cent, as per the report.
The hashtag #OdishaLowestUnemployment has been trending at top position in the Twitter with netizens lauding the leadership of Naveen Patnaik for the feat.

The latest report from CMIE completely endorses Odisha’s way of economic, industrial, investment & job generation policies. Odisha model is a grand success & must be emulated at the national level for drastically reducing the unemployment, another user posted.
