Bhubaneswar: Social Media influencer and food blogger Kamiya Jani has issued a statement clarifying that she neither promotes beef eating nor herself consumes beef.
In a video released today, Kamya Jani has said that I am a Food, Travel and Culture content creator. My work is to visit different places of the country and tell about their culture, people, traditions, food and living. As an Indian YouTuber, I have the mission to take the Indian Heritage, Culture and Civilization to the world.
In the detailed statement, she said that many people have misunderstood her and unnecessary controversy is being created. She also said that she has not broken any rule of the Temple Administration.
In her statement Kamiya has said “In fact, I had prepared a documentary named “Dharohar Bharat Ki”. I visited various cultural sites of the country and showed their stories and infrastructure development. Many people appreciated my efforts including our Prime Minister Narendra Modi. I fact, the Ministry of Culture awarded me by making me a cultural brand ambassador.”
“My purpose to visit the Jagannath Temple was to seek the blessings of Lord Jagannath and to inform the people about the infrastructural developments being undertaken. It’s unfortunate that my one visit has become a controversy. I understand that the temple authorities have some rules, and I would like to clarify that I have not broken any rule. I am a practicing Hindu, and I have neither ever eaten beef nor ever promoted it. As a food Blogger, I have showed people about the local cuisines of different places, and that’s what happened also in Kerala video whose screenshots were used. I had explained about the food and how that became a specialty there. As I don’t’ eat beef, I had taken Kadela Curry – Veg Black Chana Curry, Apam made from fermented rice batter and coconut milk etc. I am sure, apart from this, there may have many videos, where I have informed about various restaurants, cities and countries and their local dishes. But it’s not like I have eaten all of them. We all love our country and its culture, and I hope this clarification reaches to them who have felt bad due to the misunderstanding. As an Indian, I will continue to make India proud. Will continue to bring the stories of the beautiful, ancient and development stories of this country for the world.
In the wake of the recent controversy, it is important that I put out real facts and the truth ✌️? This one incident, in no way, will shake my pride in my country and its rich culture ? I am and will always be a proud Indian ?? Jai Jagannath ? pic.twitter.com/q2shoexreT
