Bhubaneswar: With the relaxation of New Motor Vehicles (Amendment) Act- 2019, nearing end, Commerce and Transport Minister Padmanabh Behera on Thursday said there will be no relaxation for traffic violations from March 1.
Speaking to media, Behera said, “Traffic violators will face strict action from March 1 with the end of relaxation period of the implementation of the amended MV Act,”
Notably, collection of hefty fines for violation of road safety norms had been relaxed for three months till November 30 in three months by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.
It was later extended by another three months till February 29 to allow people to get their document ready.
