Bhubaneswar: Malkangiri district has been adjudged as one of the most improved districts in education sector across the country, according to the Delta rankings released by Niti Aayog for the month of December 2019.
Malkangiri has been placed at the 4th position in the Delta Ranking for the Aspirational Districts of the country in education sector.
Baksa district in Assam stood first, while Palamu district in Jharkhand and Namsai district in Arunachal Pradesh have been ranked second and third respectively in the list ahead of Malkangiri, Niti Aayog said.
This Delta ranking takes a step further and looks into specific aspects of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and analyses how districts have performed in last two months across important sectors. This grouping and positioning would aid the district Collectors to focus more on these sectors and improve their performances in future.
