No Respite From Heat Wave Conditions For Another Five Days In State

Bhubaneswar: The Indian Meteorological Department has predicted that the heat wave conditions likely to prevail over districts of Odisha during the next five days. Due to prevailing Northwesterly to Westerly dry air and high solar insolation, day temperature is very likely to be on the higher side at many places over the districts of coastal Odisha. The MeT has issued Orange Warning for Heat wave to severe heat wave condition for two districts of Ganjam and Gajapati for today. Yellow Warning has been issued for the districts of Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Jagatsinghpur, Angul, Nayagarh, Bolangir, Boudh, Nuapada, Kandhamal, Khorda, Cuttack and Dhenkanal.

The day time temperature is likely to be above normal on the 26th and 27th of this month. The MeT Department has issued Heat Wave Orange Warning for 26th April for the districts of Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Sambalpur, Angul, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Nuapada, Bolangir, Deogarh, Boudh, Sonepur, Malkangiri, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Rayagada.

Likewise, on the 27th and 28th April, Heat wave condition very likely to prevail at a few places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Sambalpur, Angul, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Puri, Khorda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Sonepur, Boudh, Deogarh, Nuapada, Bolangir, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Nawarangpur, Rayagada, Malkangiri with Isolated pockets of Severe heat wave condition very likely to occur over the districts of Mayurbhanj, Bhadrak, Khorda, Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Nuapada, Sonepur, Bolangir, Kalahandi.
