Bhubaneswar: The nominations for the fourth phase of the Lok Sabha polls will end today. Also, the nominations filing for the first phase of elections to the Odisha Assembly will end today. The nominations will be scrutinized tomorrow and the candidates cleared will be allowed to withdraw their candidature by the 29th of this month. In total, 96 Lok Sabha seats spread over nine States and a Union Territory will go to polls during this phase on the 13th of May. In this phase, the states where voting will be held include Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, West Bengal, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Jammu and Kashmir.
Along with the Lok Sabha, Assembly elections are being held for Odisha and Andhra Pradesh. In the first phase, 28 Assembly Constituencies of Odisha coming under the four Lok Sabha Constituencies of Berhampur, Koraput, Kalahandi and Nabarangpur will go for voting. The Assembly constituencies include Nuapada, Khariar, Umerkote, Jharigaon, Nabarangpur, Dabugaon, Lanjigarh, Junagarh, Dharmagarh, Bhawanipatna, Narla, Chatrapur, Gopalpur, Berhampur, Dagpahandi, Chikiti, Mohana, Paralakhemundi, Gunupur, Bissam-cuttack, Rayagada, Laxmipur, Kotpad, Jeypore, Koraput, Pattangi, Malkangiri and Chitrakonda.
