Sambalpur: Normalcy returned to Sambalpur district court as lawyers of the Sambalpur Bar Association resumed their work from today.
After a stalemate of around 22 days, the lawyers resumed their work in the court.
The lawyers were abstaining from work after the arrest of several lawyers in connection with the vandalism in the district court complex last month.
Notably, a mob barged into the premises of the Sambalpur district court on December 12 demanding establishment of a permanent Orissa High Court bench in Sambalpur. They ransacked the court and chamber of the district judge.
At least 39 people including 30 lawyers were arrested in this connection.
