Nothing to Worry, House-To-House Survey Led To Spike In COVID-19 Cases, Says ACS

Bhubaneswar: Amid the concerns over the spike in Covid-19 cases at a  much faster rate in the State, the Additional Chief Secretary PK Mohapatra today said that the spike is due to the massive door-to-door survey undertaken by the Government.

He further said, the people need not  worry about the spike.

Briefing media,  Mohapatra said, ASHA, Anganwadi and ANM workers (AAA) across the State are conducting house-to-house survey to identify both the persons with suspected Covid -19 symptoms and people with comorbidity.

“ We are ‘chasing the virus from house to house’,” Mohapatra added.

Lauding the State government’s success in Covid-19 management, Mohapatra said, with 65% recovery rate Odisha’s position is much better than any other states, he added.

Similarly, fatality rate is 0.54% in the State as compared to 2.5% in India, he said.
