Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) has made an important announcement regarding exercising the option of medium of language in the Odisha Civil Services Examination (OCSE) 2022.
The OPSC said that the candidates will be required to exercise the option of medium of language at the time of filling up of online application form.
Once the option has been exercised by the candidates, it cannot be changed, the OPSC said in a notification.
This year, the State Government has allowed candidates appearing for the OCS examination to write their answers and face interviews in Odia.
“Candidates will have the option to appear in the OCSE-2022, which includes Preliminary, Main, and Personality Test, either in Odia or in English medium except for the language subjects. The above provision is also applicable for writing the Essay paper,” the OPSC said.
The submission of the online application for the OCS 2022 for recruitment to posts and services under the Odisha Civil Services (Group A and Group B) will begin on January 17, 2023. The last date for submission of the application is February 16, 2023.
