Bhubaneswar: An Odia Jawan working with the 48 Assam Rifles, Nilachal Patel was martyred in Manipur. Nilachal belongs to Baghapalli village of Bheden Block in Bargarh. According to reports, he died in an accident while on patrolling duty. He joined Assam Rifles in 2004. His mortal remains will arrive in Odisha tomorrow. A pal of gloom has descended in the area with his death.
