Bhubaneswar: Odia Scientist Dr Jyotirmayee Dash, working at the School of Chemical Sciences, Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science, Kolkata, has been awarded the prestigious Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Award for her outstanding contribution to the field of Chemical Sciences. She is the first ever woman from Odisha to receive the prestigious award. The prizes were announced on the Occasion of the foundation day of the CSIR Saturday.
Having done her post graduation in chemistry from Revenshaw College Cuttack, Jyotirmayee received her doctorate degree from IIT Kanpur. She is one of the 14 young scientists being awarded the prestigious award this year.
