Rayagada: As many as 64 students in Rayagada district have tested positive for COVID-19.
As per reports, the students are the inmates of a hostel named ‘Anwesha’ in Kotlaguda area of the district.
RT-PCR test of 257 inmates of the hostel was conducted by the Health Department on May 4 and the reports of 44 came out positive.
Following the detection of the COVID-19 positive cases, the hostel authorities have taken all precautionary measures to prevent further spread of the virus.
All the positive cases were asymptomatic. Condition of all of them is stated to be stable. They have been kept under isolation, reports added.
