Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government has made it mandatory for college students to have at least 75% attendance in order to appear in their annual examinations.
A circular has been issued to principals of all government, private and grant-in-aid colleges in this regard by the Higher Education Department.
The students having less than 75% attendance will be required to attend extra classes to become eligible to appear in the annual examinations, the circular said.
Higher Education Secretary Saswat Mishra has urged the principals of all colleges to sensitize students on this account well in advance before the commencement of annual examinations.
