Bhubaneswar: Odisha has achieved a growth of 9 per cent in revenue generation till the end of October 2019 compared to the same period in the last fiscal.
The State has registered a 12.24 per cent growth in revenue generation from non-tax sources by the end of October in comparison to the corresponding period of the last year with a total collection of around Rs 7399 crore, said Principal secretary Finance Department A K Meena.
The revenue generation from Mining Royalty and Water rate increased around 11 per cent and 46 per cent respectively, the official said.
The total collection from mining royalty was around Rs 6,054.93 crore against last year’s collection of Rs 5,436.54 crore by October end.
The revenue generation from own tax sources grew by 7.56 per cent with a total collection of around Rs 17,510 crore against last year’s collection of Rs 16,279 crore, he said.
The total revenue generation from both the sources by end of October 2019 has increased around 9 per cent over the corresponding period of last fiscal, he further stated.
