Odisha: ALS Ambulance Service Flagged off in Bhubaneswar 

Bhubaneswar: An Advance Life Support (ALS) Ambulance service was launched in Bhubaneswar on the auspicious occasion of Maha Shivaratri on Saturday.

The ALS Ambulance service was flagged off by Minister SSEPD, Science and Tech. Public Enterprise , Ashok Chandra Panda in presence of BMC Mayor Sulochana Das, Deputy Mayor Manjulata Kanhar, Commissioner Vijay Amruta Kulange, Khordha Collector K Sudarsan Chakravarty, BMC Public Health Standing Committee Chairman Biranchinarayan Mahasupakar and others.

The ambulance sanctioned out of MLA LAD, 114 Ekamra, Bhubaneswar; has defibrillator with cardiac monitor, transport ventilator, oxygen cylinder, suction pump, syringe pump, nebulizer to provide immediate assistance during the transport of patients to hospitals.

For delivering service through the ambulance, BMC will provide man power along with fuel and maintenance. It will be free of cost for BSKY card holders while others will get the service as per government norm, informed the BMC Mayor.

Director Capital Hospital and CMMO BMC Hospital told the utility of such ambulance in present context. In post Covid situation many are suffering from long term chest and heart related disorder. In order to carry such patients to the hospital such ambulance is highly required. Starting from arousal of symptom to arriving at hospital with life support ambulance is the golden hour , told Director Capital Hospital. He thanked Minister, Mayor and BMC for such service facility.

Corporators of BMC, DC-Sanitation, ZDC SE, Team BMC, Health Dept. team and local representatives were present on the occasion.
