Odisha Assembly Adjourned Due to Ruckus over Cong Leader’s Objectionable Remarks on President Murmu

Bhubaneswar: The proceedings of Odisha Legislative Assembly were adjourned till 4 pm on Thursday as opposition BJP legislators protested over the objectionable statement made by Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Choudhary against President Droupadi Murmu.

The BJP members trooped into the well and created a ruckus by holding placards and shouting slogans in the Assembly.

As the pandemonium prevailed, Speaker Bikram Keshari Arukha adjourned the House till 4 pm, as per reports.
Congress Lok Sabha MP Adhir Ranjan Choudhary had reportedly made an offensive statement against President Droupadi Murmu by calling her ‘Rashtrapatni’.
