Odisha Assembly Adjourned Till 4PM Amidst Opposition Demands for Action Against Governor’s Son

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Assembly has been adjourned till 4 pm today amidst the opposition’s demands for action against the Governor’s son for assaulting the Assistant Section Officer in Puri.

With Biju Janata Dal and Congress MLAs raising their voice again and again, the Speaker adjourned the House till 4 PM.

The main opposition party Biju Janata Dal raised the issue of Odia Asmita and asked why no action has been taken against the Governor’s son till date. They also demanded the arrest of the culprit.

Opposition Chief Whip Pramila Mallick raised the issue and demanded the arrest of the Governor’s son immediately and other MLAs staged protests in the well of the House.

She said the Law Minister is giving irresponsible replies by saying that the Collector is investigating the matter. She asked whether a Collector can investigate a criminal case and what is the role of the SP and IIC in this case.
