Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Assembly today unanimously passed a resolution urging Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik to successfully conduct the forthcoming 2023 Men’s Hockey World Cup.
The resolution moved by Congress leader Narasingha Mishra on Thursday lauded the State Government’s effort for successfully organizing the 2018 Men’s Hockey World Cup in November last year which drew accolades from the world over.
Mishra thanked the Chief Minister and the State government for the grand success of the event.
Odisha has again been entrusted with the responsibility of organizing the sporting extravaganza in 2023 and it is a matter of pride for the people of Odisha and the government.
The resolution said each and every Odia is honoured to have the privilege to conduct the sporting event in the state capital and thanked Patnaik and his government for the unique effort to organize such a mammoth sporting event in 2023.
