Bhubaneswar: The Monsoon Session of the Odisha Assembly will begin from today. Finance Minister Niranjan Pujari is slated to present the full State Budget for the remaining eight months of the year 2022-23 on first day of the session today. The size of the Budget is likely to be about Rs 2 lakh crore. Due to the Panchayat and Urban polls, the state government had presented only the interim Budget earlier this year.
The Monsoon Session will continue till August 4th. Many important Bills are likely to be passed during the Session. As a precautionary measure, Covid-19 tests have been conducted for all members, ministers and Assembly officials.
