Odisha: BDA Issues Notices to 13 Establishments for Charging Parking Fees

Bhubaneswar: The Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA) on Monday issued notices to as many as 13 establishments including three hosptials here for illegally charging parking fees from visitors.

Notices have been issued to establishments, such as Symphony Mall, The World, Forum Mart, Maruti Mall, Pal Mantra, Pantaloons Saheed Nagar, Bhawani Commercial Enclave, Esplanade One, DN Regalia, Central, Apollo Hospital, Kalinga Hospital and Care Hospital.

The authority has directed these malls/hospitals to stop collecting off-street parking fee. The concerned organisation has also been asked to report compliance within 7 days, failing which action will be taken against them, according to reports.

Notably, the BDA on October 17 had ordered different establishments such as commercial buildings, shopping malls, multiplexes, hospitals, apartments and housing projects not to collect fees from visitors for off-street parking on their premises.
