Bhubaneswar: Buses will run in the green zones in Odisha soon, said State Transport Minister Padmanabha Behera here on Monday.
Arrangements are being made to ensure movement of buses in green zones with 50% seating capacity, the Minister said.
Behera further said that necessary steps will also be taken to ensure that the bus owners don not incur losses while plying their buses.
The Transport department has reportedly sent a proposal in this regard to Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.
In Odisha, the Government declared 16 districts as Green Zones. The districts are Angul, Bargarh, Boudh, Sambalpur, Gajapati, Jagatsinghpur, Kandhamal, Malkangiri, Mayurbhanj, Nabarangpur, Nayagarh, Nuapada, Rayagada, Sonepur, Cuttack and Puri.
