Bhubaneswar: With barely a few days left for the by-elections in Odisha and the political atmosphere is fully warmed up, veteran leader and former minister Damodar Rout will be seen active in campaign trail.
As per reports, the veteran leader, who remained distance from active politics after quitting the BJP, will campaign for the ruling Biju Janata Dal in Tritol Assembly constituency.
The seven-time MLA will seek support for BJD candidate Bijay Shankar Das.
Dama Rout’s entry into campaigning trail will make an impact in the ensuing elections considering his vast political experience and stronghold in Tritol. It will certainly dent the already struggling BJP’s perspective in the constituency, feel political observers.
