Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Cabinet meeting held today under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has given its nod to 19 proposals. According to sources, the Cabinet has approved the Nutana Unnata Abhilasha (NUA) Odisha scheme. The scheme, with an outlay of Rs 385 crore, will be implemented to skill one lakh youth every year in the State during next three years. The Cabinet has also given its nod to special program for developing and creating awareness for millets in the state. The Cabinet has approved the proposals for amendments to the Mobile Tower and Telegraph Policy.
According to reports, the state Cabinet has also approved the execution of four mega piped water supply projects to provide safe drinking water in Puri district. The projects will be completed within a period of 24 months. The State Cabinet has also approved the proposal to lease out Govt land measuring Ac. 48.842 dec. in Padanpur, Baratota, Bhimapur & Belapada Mouzas under Jatni Tehsil of Khordha district in favour of NISER, Bhubaneswar on free of cost for setting up Cancer Hospital & Education Centre by Tata Memorial Centre.
