Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Cabinet is likely to give its nod to the Draft Budget for the year 2023-24 in its meeting to be held today evening. Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will chair the meeting to be held at the Lok Seva Bhawan. The Cabinet is also likely to approve 15 other proposals of various departments. Any important proposals of the Rural Development, Agriculture, Public Works, Health, Urban Development, Energy and Water Resources are likely to get approved.
The Budget Session of the Odisha Assembly will commence on 21st February and Finance Minister Niranjan Pujari will present the annual Budget for FY 2023-24 on 24th February. The size of the budget is also likely to increase by about 15 percent than last year’s budget. The thrust will be on infrastructure development and transformation.
