Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Cabinet led by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Monday recommended the Governor for dissolution of State Legislative Assembly.
The State Cabinet recommendation comes a day before for the counting of votes in Elections 2024.
At the Cabinet Meeting, the Chief Minister decided to inform the Governor about the completion of the BJD Government’s tenure and recommend for dissolution of the Odisha Legislative Assembly.
After the results will be declared by the Election Commissioner, the party securing majority will approach the Governor to form the government in the state.
Notably, the elections were held for 147 assembly seats and 21 Lok Sabha seats in 4 phases starting from May 13 till June 1.
