Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today announced Rs 2200 crore special package to assist the people in view of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak in the State.
The Chief Minister announced the package for welfare of poor in face of Corona pandemic.
1. Food Security: Rs.1000 assistance would be provided per family to all the 94 lakh beneficiary families of Odisha covered under the Food Security Programme. For this a total of Rs 940 crore would be spent. Advance rations for 3 months under Food Security Programme would be provided to all beneficiaries in Odisha.
2. Social Security Programmes: An advance of four months Pension (Bhatta) would be provided to all the 48 lakh beneficiaries in Odisha. For this a total of Rs 932 crore would be spent.
3. Construction Workers: Rs 1500 assistance would be provided per Construction Worker to all the 22 lakh Construction workers in Odisha. For this a total of Rs 330 Crore would be spent.
