Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today condoled the untimely death of climber Kalpana Das.
The 49-year-old climber from Odisha died above the balcony area on Mt Everest on Thursday afternoon while descending from the summit point.
Expressing grief over the tragic death of Kalpana Das, Naveen said that her legacy in mountaineering will inspire generations of young women in the state.
The CM extended his condolences to the bereaved family.

Das, who was a member of the ‘Three Women Expedition’ locally managed by Dreamers Destination Treks, breathed her last near the balcony area while descending from the summit point.
