Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik grieved the sad demise of versatile Bollywood actor Irfan Khan, who passed away in Mumbai today.
“Saddened to hear about the passing away of versatile actor Irrfan Khan. He was a prolific entertainer and cinema lovers from across the world will miss him. My condolences to the bereaved family and fans. RIP”, the CM tweeted.

Irfan Khan died at age of 54 at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai.
In 2018 he was diagnosed with neuroendocrine tumor.
The Bollywood actor had undergone treatment abroad for several months in 2019.
His last movie that was released is Homi Adajania’s Angrezi Medium.
Khan had also acted in several remarkable movies like Maqbool, Paan Singh Tomar, The Lunchbox, Haider, Piku and Hindi Medium. He has also acted in Hollywood films like Slumdog Millionaire, Jurassic World, The Amazing Spiderman and Life of Pi.
He made his Bollywood debut in the 1988 Mira Nair directorial Salaam Bombay.
