Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik paid his humble tributes to Lok Nayak Jayaprakash Narayan on his birth anniversary.

Jayprakash Narayan, popularly referred to as JP or Lok Nayak, was born on 11 October 1902 in Bihar. He was one of the prominent faces of the Quit India Movement and remembered for leading the mid-1970s opposition against Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, for whose overthrow he had called for a “total revolution”. He was posthumously awarded India’s highest civilian award, the Bharat Ratna, in 1999.
