Odisha CM Pledges to Protect Human Rights of All

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today pledged his commitment to protect the human rights of all, especially those who are vulnerable and marginalized.

On the occasion of Human Rights Day today, the Chief Minister urged all to renew their pledge to eliminate inequalities, discrimination and commit to protect the human rights of all, especially those who are vulnerable and marginalised to build a world which is more resilient, just and inclusive.

“On Human Rights Day, let us renew our pledge to eliminate inequalities, discrimination and commit to protect the human rights of all, especially those who are vulnerable and marginalised to build a world which is more resilient, just and inclusive”, the Chief Minister tweeted.

Human Rights Day is observed every year on 10 December — the day the United Nations General Assembly adopted, in 1948, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR). The UDHR is a milestone document that proclaims the inalienable rights which everyone is entitled to as a human being – regardless of race, colour, religion, sex, language, political or other opinion, national or social origin, property, birth or other status.
