Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has reaffirmed his commitment to rebuild life and livelihood of rural women affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Rural women play a crucial role in rural livelihood, agricultural production, nutrition and healthcare, the Chief Minister said on the occasion of International Day of Rural Women.
Naveen, who has taken a slew of measures for the political and economic empowerment of women in the State, has reiterated his pledge to take special care to rebuild the life and livelihood of rural women affected by COVID-19 pandemic.
“Rural Women play a crucial role in rural livelihood, agricultural production, nutrition and healthcare. On International Day of Rural Women, pledge to take special care to rebuild the Life And Livelihood of rural women affected by COVID19 pandemic”, the CM tweeted.
Earlier on Wednesday, the Chief Minister suggested that livelihood programs such as NREGA, Mission Shakti and Livelihoods Mission should be given priority amid the fight against Covid-19 pandemic.
