Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will attend the 24th Eastern Zonal Council meeting to be chaired by Home Minister Amit Shah here on Friday.
According to reports, the Chief Ministers of West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand and Sikkim will also be attending the meeting where issues on Development or disaster-resilient infra, expeditious implementation of rail link projects, smooth operation of coal mines, financial inclusion, grants to PRIs/ULBs under 15th FC, devolution of powers to Panchayat bodies and revision of coal royalty likely to be discussed.
Effective implementation of direct benefit transfer (DBT) in various schemes, telecom & internet connectivity, use of Aadhaar data base, timely release of central grants & LWE situation likely to be discussed too at the meeting.
