Bhubaneswar: As the process for the much-anticipated State Council of Ministers’ rejig has begun, speculations are rife that women will give most priority in Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s new team.
BJD Supremo Naveen Patnaik, who has always emphasized on the women empowerment, may include a good number of women in the Council of Ministers, according to sources.
The women leaders will also find place in the new Cabinet, sources added.
From Lok Sabha elections to Assembly elections to Rural and Urban elections, the Chief Minister has fielded women in large numbers. He has always given utmost priority on the political empowerment of women. In this context, the CM is likely to give priority on women in the new Council of Ministers, sources added.
