Bhubaneswar: Senior officials of the Odisha Government on Sunday expressed their gratitude to the frontline workers who are fighting relentlessly to keep the Coronavirus (COVID-19) at bay.
Responding to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s call, Odisha Chief Secretary Asit Tripathy, Development Commissioner Suresh Mahapatra, 5T Secretary VK Pandian, Health Secretary Nikunja Dhal, Chief Spokesperson for COVID-19 Subroto Bagchi expressed their deepest gratitude to all those warriors working relentlessly to contain the Coronavirus (COVID-19) scare by clapping at Lokseva Bhawan (State Secretariat) here in the city.
Though, it was Sunday and holiday for Government officials, the senior officials came to office to express their solidarity.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik also expressed his gratitude to health officials and other emergency service workers for their tireless and hard effort to combat the deadly Coronavirus pandemic.
The Chief Minister clapped and clanged utensils at 5 PM from the rooftop of Naveen Niwas here as a token of gratitude.
The Janata Curfew has received massive response from people of Odisha with people confining to their houses as part of the social distancing exercise.
Shops and business establishments remained closed in all parts of the State. Roads and markets wore a deserted look as maximum number of trains and buses remained cancelled.
While most people stayed indoors, essential services were not affected by the Curfew.
