Bhawanipatna: Odisha DGP Abhay on Saturday reviewed the Maoist situation in three districts – Kalahandi, Kandhamal and Rayagada.
Chairing a meeting held at the Bhawanipatna Reserve Police Field here, the top cop stressed on continued dominance of security forces in the LWE areas in these districts.
He also emphasized on developing new scientific knowledge base to tackle Maoist problem.
Director Intelligence Satyajit Mohanty, Additional Director (Intelligence) R K Sharma, South-Western DIG Safeen Ahmad and SPs of Kalahandi, Kandhamal and Rayagada were present in the meeting to discuss various security issues.
A special action plan has been designed for the Maoist affected areas at the meeting, sources said.
