Bhubaneswar: Odisha has recorded a voter turnout of approximately 7.43 per cent by 9 AM in the third phase of the simultaneous elections in the State.
The voting is underway in Sambalpur, Cuttack, Bhubaneswar, Keonjhar, Dhenkanal and Puri Lok Sabha seats and 42 Assembly constituencies under these segments.
As per the ECI, Bhubaneswar Lok Sabha constituency saw the voter turnout of 6.65%, Cuttack 7.32%, Dhenkanal 7.95%, Keonjhar 8.74%, Puri 6.87% and Sambalpur 7.09% by 9AM.
As many as 94, 48,553 voters, including 48.30 lakh male, 46.18 lakh female voters are likely to exercise their franchise in the simultaneous elections in the State. They will decide the fate of 64 candidates in the Lok Sabha seats and 383 in the Assembly seats.
Around 35,000 police personnel have been deployed for the smooth conduct of the electoral process.
