Bhubaneswar: Senior BJD leader Kartik Pandian on Tuesday campaigned in Patna Assembly constituency in Keonjhar district to garner support for his party in the elections.
Speaking at a public meeting, the senior BJD leader said that Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has made sincere efforts to preserve the language, art, culture and place of worship of tribals for future generations. For this, the Chief Minister has formed the Special Development Council (SDC). No other state in the country has the SDC, he said.
The Chief Minister has canceled more than 50,000 court cases of the tribal brothers and sisters. No one can do it except Naveen Babu, Kartik Pandian said.
Addressing the people, the BJD star campaigner further said that the CM has created thousands of tribal hostels in Odisha. More number of girls’ hostels is in Odisha. The CM has done this for your service, he added.
Giving an account for the developmental works, the senior BJD leader said that around 80 per cent of the grievances have been resolved. Rs 20 crores have been sanctioned for the construction of masjid, temples, development of Bhimkund, bridges and roads, Rs 14 crore for Satakutunia-Baunsuli road, Rs 33 crore for Keonjhar-Saharapada road, Rs 20 crore of Baitarani river bridge, Rs 14 crore for Kanjhari river bridge. All high schools have been transformed under the 5T initiatives, he added.
With the blessings of Mahaprabhu and people of Odisha, Naveen Patnaik will take oath as Chief Minister again on June 9.
After becoming Chief Minister, his first order will be free power supply for 90 per cent population of Odisha, the second order will be the extension of Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana (BSKY) for all and the third order will be pension for Mission Shakti members after age of 60 years, Kartik Pandian said.
