Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has approved the construction of a high level bridge over Mahanadi in Jagatsinghpur district that would connect Tirtol-Poshal-Sankheswar. To be built with an expenditure of Rs 118.56 Crore, the bridge will be of 888.89 meters. According to a press release from the Engineer In Chief, Rural Works, the tender process has already begun for the project.
The demand for a bridge in the said areas was made in the last few years by the local people and the government keeping in mind the interest of thousands of people and the economic benefits, decided to construct the bridge. A large number of Panchayats and villages of Jagatsinghpur district will benefit with the construction of the bridge. Especially, more than 50 thousand people from Ainta, Gopalpur, Kanimula, Bishanpur, Krustanandapur, Poshala, Bijipur, Saralpur, Tentulipada and other nearby villages will have greater and better communication access.
