Bhubaneswar: The Government of Odisha has notified the new Odisha University of Health Sciences to be headquartered in state capital Bhubaneswar. According to a notification issued by the Government, 5th March will be the day of establishment of Odisha University of Health Sciences. All institutions imparting education on Allopathy, Homeopathy, Ayurveda, Nursing, Lab Technology, and all other paramedical sciences in the state of Odisha will come under this new university.
According to the notification, the University will function under the State Health and Family Welfare Department and has been set up exercising the powers conferred by Sub-section (1) of Section 2 of the Odisha Health Sciences Act, 2021 (Odisha Act 22 of 2021).
