Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government has extended the deadline of Amnesty Scheme (Sarbakhyama Yojana) that allows residents to regularize unauthorized constructions by another 15 days.
The Housing and Urban Development Department on Tuesday announced the extension of deadline in view of the overwhelming public response to the scheme.
The Amnesty Scheme, which is being implemented in areas under nine development authorities in the State, was to expire on February 5.
The development authorities are Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA), Cuttack Development Authority (CDA), Rourkela Development Authority (RDA), Talcher-Angul-Mermunduli Development Authority, Berhampur Development Authority, Sambalpur Development Authority, Puri-Konark Development Authority, Kalinga Nagar Development Authority, and Paradip Development Authority.
The Scheme will now end on February 20, enabling residents to regularize unauthorized constructions in the areas coming under these authorities.
The Housing and Urban Development Department had introduced Amnesty scheme – Regularisation of Unauthorised Constructions 2018, Sarbakshama Yojana – for housing plan violations in June 2018.
A revised Amnesty scheme was introduced on August 06, 2019 for a period of six months until February 05, 2020.
