Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government has hiked the monthly remuneration of Physically Disabled Education Volunteers (PHIEV) engaged in Gram Panchayats to provide education and special services to the differently-abled school students.
As per the announcement, the monthly remuneration of PHIEV has been increased to Rs 10,000 from Rs 5379.
It is worth noting that during the visit of 5T Chairman Kartik Pandian to the districts, they drew the attention of the Chairman regarding their problems.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has decided to increase their remuneration from Rs 5379 to Rs 10,000 per month after sympathetically considering the various demands of the education volunteers.
This will benefit the 1117 PHIEVs in the state.
