Bhubaneswar: Odisha Government has hiked Value Added Tax (VAT) on petrol and diesel by 6 per cent and 2 per cent respectively.
While VAT on petrol has been raised from 26 per cent to 32 per cent and it has been diesel zoomed to 28 per cent on diesel which was earlier 26 percent.
With the rise in VAT, the price of petrol per litre rose by Rs3.11 and of diesel by Rs 1.03 in the State.
In Bhubaneswar, petrol and diesel were selling at Rs 71.29 and Rs 70.63 per litre, respectively.
