Bhubaneswar: With increase in mercury, the Panchayati Raj & Drinking department has issued helpline numbers for smooth supply of drinking water supply during the COVID-19 lockdown period.
Panchayati Raj and Drinking Water Minister Pratap Jena said that officials concerned have been asked to repair defunct tube wells on war footing.
The government has also decided to provide water through tankers, wherever necessary, he added.
Jena further said that a control room has been set up with separate helpline numbers 1916 for rural areas and 18003456783 for urban areas of the state for redressal of complaints related to drinking water problems.
