Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government is preparing plans for reopening of schools across the State.
The State Government has directed to clean the campus of schools and restore infrastructure of the educational institutions, said School and Mass Education Minister Samir Ranjan Dash.
The teachers have been urged not to leave the headquarters, he said.
The Government has prepared an action plan for intensive and focused COVID-19 campaign which will be rolled out very soon. For successful implementation of this campaign participation of all teachers is absolutely required, so that IEC materials approved by Government can reach to the students, parents and community.
The details of the action plan will be intimated separately. Similarly, instruction is being issued by the department for taking up of cleaning activities of the school campus and other school infrastructure which has been lying idle for last 6 months, an official statement said.
Teaching activities have been taken up through online mode for which availability of teachers at their respective headquarters is also desirable.
Under all the DEOs have been instructed to ensure the availability of teachers at their respective headquarters and pre COVID-19 status should be maintained in all the educational institutions.
Earlier today, the State Government has asked the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) and other major temples of State under Endowment to prepare plan for action for reopening of temples by adhering to COVID-19 regulations.
