Odisha Govt Reveals Details of 79 New COVID-19 Cases

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government has revealed the details of 79 new COVID-19 cases detected in the State earlier this morning.

Of the 79 cases, 71 cases have been reported from different quarantine centres in various districts and the rest 8 patients were local cases, said the Odisha Information and Public Relations department.

Here are the details:

• 06 cases in Kendrapada (All in quarantine centres. 3 Surat, 2 WB, 1 TN returnees)
• 01 case in Jharsuguda (In quarantine centre. Maharashtra returnee) 02 case in Jajpur (All in quarantine centre. WB returnees)
• 05 cases in Ganjam (4 in quarantine centres. 4 Surat returnees & 1 local contact case) 04 cases in Khurdha (All in quarantine centres. Surat returnees) 03 cases in Nayagarh (All in quarantine centres. Surat returnees) 01 case in Kandhamal (In quarantine centre. Surat returnee)
• 04 cases in Puri (All in quarantine centres. 3 TN & 1 Telengana returnees)
• 01 case in Sonepur (In quarantine centre. Gujarat returnee)
• 07 cases in Kandhamal (6 in quarantine centres. 6 TN returnees & 1 local contact case) 01 case in Angul (In quarantine centre. TN returnee)
• 08 cases in Keonjhar (6 in quarantine centres. 2 Gujarat, 1 TN, 1 Maharashtra & 2 Bihar returnees. 2 local contact cases)
• 04 cases in Balasore (1 in quarantine centre, Telengana returnee. 3 local contact cases)
• 14 cases in Bolangir (All in q’tine centres. 7 WB, 6 M’rastra & 1 TN returnees)
• 03 cases in Dhenkanal (All in q’tine centres. 1 M’rashtra & 2 Telengana returnees)
• 16 cases in Cuttack (15 in q’tine centres. 5 M’rastra, 3 WB, 3 AP, 1 TN & 3 Dubai returnees. 1 local contact case)

The number of active cases in the Odisha increased to 861 while the number of recovered patients now stands at 649.
