Bhubaneswar: In order to enhance income of the farmers and bring inclusive development in the agriculture sector, the Odisha Government has prepared a 20-Point Target for the sector, informed Agriculture Minister Arun Kumar Sahoo here today.
The move came after the inclusion of Agriculture and Farmers’ Empowerment Department under the 5T initiative of the State Government.

As part of the 20-Point Target, a database of farmers will be prepared by April next year to have the details of the sharecroppers and landless labourers.
A separate database for other schemes like KALIA, Food Security and Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana (BSKY) will also be prepared.
Efforts are being made to provide all information of scheme by the Agriculture Department in a mobile application by January 1, 2020, Sahoo added.
