Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government has decided to provide compensation to the victims of electrocution.
A compensation of Rs 4 lakh will be provided in case of death due to electrocution, Rs 2 lakh for 60% injury and Rs 59,500 for 40%-60% injury, informed Energy Minister Dibya Shankar Mishra to the Assembly today.
Similarly, a financial assistance of Rs 12,000 will be provided to an electrocution victim for more than one week of hospitalization and Rs 4,500 for less than one week of hospitalization, the minister said.
