Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government will recruit 11,000 teachers in high schools by end of this month, said School and Mass Education Minister Samir Ranjan Dash.
The newly recruited teachers will be given the offer letters by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik at a special function, the Minister said.
As many as 1,700 teachers will be appointed in Odisha Adarsha Vidyalayas (OAVs), he added.
The state-run primary schools will also be revamped after the transformation of the high schools under the 5T initiatives, the Minister stated.
He said that 5,000 out of the about 8,000 high schools in the State are being transformed. Transformation of the rest of high schools will be taken up after that, the Minister added.
Earlier on Monday, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik dedicated as many as 490 transformed high schools during the second phase of High School Transformation Programme of the State Government.
